Koshal Kranti Dal (KKD), the only political party of Western Odisha, has decided to boycott the forthcoming municipal election scheduled in September. Addressing the mediapersons, Chairman of the advisory committee of the party Pramod Mishra said instead of participating in the election, they would rather concentrate on separate Koshal State movement.

“It would be unjust to take part in any political activity in the State as Koshal is a political issue and the movement for the separate state is fast gaining momentum. By boycotting the election, we want to send a message to the Government about our non-cooperation in any political activity,” Mishra said.

Mishra said KKD would support candidate of any party who will fight for the issue. KKD has been demanding Koshal State comprising 10 districts of Western odisha and Athamallick sub-division of Angul.
