A book based on religious fiction ‘The Tenth Avatar,’ penned by city-based writer Sondeep Patra, was launched in the city recently.
The book is a part of a series of seven books which talks about Buddha’s prophecy, self-development and other philosophies drawn from different cultures of the world. Patra was a practising lawyer and has been teaching students for the past 20 years. The Tenth Avatar Foundation, formed by Patra, also organised a creative writing contest and workshop for students of classes VIII to XII on the occasion of book launch. More than 140 students took part in contest.
The international contest on the same topic will be spread across seven nations India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia and Nepal. The event concluded with a workshop on creative writing which was coordinated by Shine Group executive director Amit Kumar Tripathy.
