Former engineer of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) Manoranjan Mohapatra passed away here on Wednesday. He was 84.
Mohapatra was ailing for some time and was admitted to Apollo Hospital where the end came during morning hours.
He is survived by a daughter and a son. Mohapatra, a native of Kasarda near Niali in Cuttack district, had retired as a senior metallurgical engineer with the RSP. The final rites were conducted at Swarga Dwar in Puri.
Mohapatra’s daughter Dr Saudamini Mohapatra is a known gynaeocologist of the City while son Ashok Mohapatra is editor-in-chief of MBC Television Ltd.
