“Janaki Ballav Patnaik - The March to a Modern Odisha”, a book on development witnessed by Odisha during JB Patnaik’s 14-year tenure as Chief Minister of State, was released at a function in Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi on Thursday.
President Pranab Mukherjee was presented the first copy of the book which was released by Dr Karan Singh, president of Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Speaking on the occasion, Mukherjee spoke about his long association with Patnaik, currently the Governor of Assam.
The book is a compilation of 62 articles penned by prominent persons on Pantaik and the process of development of the State during his term as Chief Minister between 1980 and 1999. Ama Odisha is the publisher of the book.
