By Thursday evening, river Baitarini was flowing above the danger mark at Akhuapada and Dasarathapur. It was flowing at 18.25 metre at Akhuapada against the red mark of 17.83 metre.

Water level at Dasarathapur was 11.40 metre against the red mark of 9.5 metre, said Indrani Behera, District Emergency Officer. Rivers Kharasrota, Budha and Kani were in spate as well.

Thousands of people in Bari, Korei, Jajpur, Dasarathapur, Rasulpur and Dharmasala blocks, which are located along both sides of the rivers, are facing fourth flood of the season.
