Balangir stir enters day 3

The agitation for setting up a High Court bench in Balangir continued for the third day on Friday. All political parties and several organisations are extending their support to the cause.

The Merchant Association has called Balangir bandh on the issue on Saturday. President of the Association Tripurari Panigrahi has appealed to the people to support the bandh for the greater interest of the area.

In Balangir, Kantabanji, Titlagarh and Patnagarh, the lawyers are sitting in front of the Municipal offices not allowing anyone to file nomination papers for municipal poll.

Talking to mediapersons, Samajwadi Party leader Arun Mishra said at different times, different committees have indicated that Balangir is the right place for the High Court bench.
