The agitating lawyers over the demand for setting up a High Court bench in Rourkela on Sunday disrupted the Lok Adalats across Sundargarh.
Rourkela Bar Association president Ramesh Bal said a Taluk-level Lok Adalat was scheduled to be held at Bondamunda of Rourkela and it was called off amid protest by the Bar members. Rajgangpur Bar Association member PC Patnaik said they prevented holding of the Lok Adalat in Kutra block of the district. Sundargarh District Bar Association secretary Pradip Mohanty said due to the protest of the advocates, the Lok Adalat in Tangapali block was cancelled.
