Strengthen bilateral ties: Canada envoy

High Commissioner of Canada to India Stewart Beck has called for strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries through exchanges on different fronts.

During his visit to KIIT University and KISS and interactions with students on Monday, Beck emphasised on cementing collaborations through student-teacher exchange programmes while adding that Canada-India Environmental Collaboration has sought to increase technology and knowledge exchange on environmental issues.  Canada’s priorities in India include infrastructure, energy, food, education, science and technology.

The two countries have long-standing bilateral relations built upon shared traditions of democracy, pluralism and strong inter-personal connections. Canada has an Indian Diaspora of more than one million.KIIT University will strive to strengthen educational collaborations with Canadian universities, KIIT founder Achyuta Samanta said.
