Angul burglars held in Bhubaneswar

Four persons, who had allegedly burgled the residence of a Tehsildar in Banarpal of Angul district, were arrested in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

Four persons, who had allegedly burgled the residence of a Tehsildar in Banarpal of Angul district, were arrested in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

Angul police were in search of the four accused who took away gold ornaments from the residence of Tehsildar Nilamadhab Bhoi on August 10. Angul police tracked the accused to Bhubaneswar through mobile tracking and reached the Capital city on Thursday morning. The four men have been identified as Hemant Das from Old Town, Pratap Sahoo from Badagada, Rabi Mallick from Kakatpur and Sanjay Senapati from Balipatna.

They had burgled gold ornaments weighing 250 gms and ` one lakh in cash. A police team has been formed which have been circulated in Puri and Konark. The accused will be presented before the court on Friday.
