Rourkela police to get CCTNS

A day-long workshop on Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System (CCTNS) concluded at the Rourkela district police headquarters office on Monday in the presence of the Director of the State Crime Record Bureau M Akshay.

Officers under the jurisdiction of the Rourkela district police were informed about the functioning of the CCTNS which would enormously ease the police stations from the burden of documentation process of the cases.

Police officers were trained to register online complaints, maintain database of crimes and criminals.

Among others, Rourkela SP Amitendra Nath Sinha and ASP Sudarshan Sethi were present.

Rourkela has been chosen as a pilot district for the implementation of the CCTNS.  The system is likely to function in the City from April 15.
