BHUBANESWAR: Civic authorities removed about five temporary structures on the campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pokhariput, here on Saturday.
The demolition drive was organised by the General Administration (GA) Department and coordinated by the officials of BMC and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA). Two platoon forces were deployed for the drive.
Two thatched houses and four makeshift structures on the school campus were removed by the enforcement team. Besides, a private house owner had encroached upon the Government road by constructing a 60 feet boundary wall. Encroachments were also removed from a plot of land belonging to BDA’s housing scheme in Pokhariput.
