BHUBANESWAR: City Police on Sunday arrested Sunil Meher, a history-sheeter, from a five star hotel where he had checked in with a fake identity.

Meher, who has been arrested several times in the past for running sex rackets in and around the Capital, had walked into the hotel posing as Ajit Mohanty of Jagatsinghpur.  He had provided identity proofs to support his fake name but the hotel authorities got suspicious and informed Chandrasekharpur Police.

It was only after his arrest that police realised that the man in question was Meher who was arrested in December last year from Laxmi Sagar for running a flesh trade racket.  After spending a few months in jail, he is believed to have come out on bail.
