KIIT Inks Pact with Tibet

The KIIT University signed an MoU with Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) of Tibet Government at New Delhi last week.

BHUBANESWAR: The KIIT University signed an MoU with Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) of Tibet Government at New Delhi last week.

As per the MoU, the two organisations will work in the areas of mutual interest in education, heritage, social development, livelihood and skill development.

Apart from undertaking collaborative research, training and preservation and promotion of Tibetan culture, they have also agreed to promote Indo-Tibetan relationship, a release of the university stated.

While KIIT has proposed to work for educational development of Tibetan people, the Prime Minister of Tibet has expressed a keen interest to visit the campus of KIIT and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) to personally see the social work practices undertaken by the group.

The MoU was signed by Founder of KIIT Achyuta Samanta and Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay on behalf of CTA.
