CM Asks MPs to Vacate Qrs

BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has issued notices to five MPs asking them to vacate government quarters in their possession, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik informed theAssembly on Monday.

In a written reply to a question from Debasis Nayak (BJD), Naveen said there is no provision of providing government accommodation to MPs in the capital, adding that they should vacate the quarters after getting elected to either Lok Sabha or Rajya Sabha.

The MPs who have been issued notices are Sarojini Hembram (Rajya Sabha), AU Singhdeo (RS), Kalpataru Das (RS), Bhupinder Singh (RS) and Jhina Hikaka (Lok Sabha).
