Police Station Buildings Inaugurated

ROURKELA: Two new well-equipped police stations were on Monday inaugurated in the Maoist dominated border areas under Rourkela police limits in Sundargarh district to ensure better policing and hassle-free services to the rural population of Bisra and Chandiposh. IGP of police (Western Range) RK Sharma inaugurated the new three-storey Bisra police station building constructed at a cost of `2 crore.

The fortified new police station, close to Odisha-Jharkhand border, is equipped for the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) programme.

Sharma sought cooperation from the people to ensure delivery of better service and hoped the new facility would help fight the Left wing extremists in more effective way. IGP also inaugurated similar building of Chandiposh police station along NH-143 in Bonai sub-division.
