Ganja Seized, One Held

BHUBANESWAR: The Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Commissionerate Police seized 44 kg of ganja from a car on the stretch between AG Square and Raj Bhavan under Capital police limits here on Tuesday.

Acting on a tip-off, the team  intercepted the car and seized the contraband hidden in three gunny bags.

Police arrested the owner of the car Chittaranjan Sahu (40), a native of Thakurpatna in Kendrapara district. Sahu resides in a rented accommodation at Laxmi Sagar here. The market value of the seized contraband is estimated to be around `1.5 lakh. The car used in transportation of the contraband has also been seized.
