BHUBANESWAR: Fashion label RAAS opened its first flagship store at Patia here on Wednesday.
It is a joint venture of woman entrepreneur Rashmi Mohapatra and Dubai-based Odia fashion designer Pritam Panda.
RAAS, which was launched as an online fashion store earlier this year, aims at giving a contemporary touch to the traditional Odisha handlooms.
As part of the launching ceremony, an exhibition of new collections of the label was also opened. The exhibition showcases Anarkali dresses, kurtis, sarees, lehengas, stoles, shrugs and quilts, all done in traditional weaving techniques of Ikat, Bomkai, Sambalpuri and Pasapalli. In men’s wear, RAAS is offering half and full sleeved jackets and waistcoats made out of Odisha handlooms.
