Bombs Found in Forest

ROURKELA: Jharkhand security forces found two claymore bombs weighing 25 kg each in Maoist-infested Saranda forest in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, about 22 km away from Sundargarh border.

In the run-up to Jharkhand Assembly election, the CRPF and police were jointly conducting combing operation when they came across the bombs in forest routes near Thalkobad under Chhota Nagar police limits.

The Maoists had pasted posters at different areas in West Singhbhum district appealing to the voters to boycott the election to be held on December 2.
