BHUBANESWAR: Students’ union of Maharishi College of Natural Law has demanded expulsion of students responsible for vandalising principal’s office.
Few students of the college who lost the recently concluded college elections had demanded that the results be revised but after the discussion with the authorities failed, they vandalised the principal’s office on Wednesday. College Principal Basant Kumar Sahoo said they not only vandalised the office but also verbally abused him.
Talking to mediapersons on Thursday, students’ union president Saroj Jena and general secretary Smrutiranjan Mohanty said they have demanded immediate expulsion of the students concerned besides strict action against the outsiders involved. They said if appropriate steps are not taken by the college authorities, they will close down the college indefinitely, after Puja vacations.
