Girl Found Critically Hurt at Rly Station

BHUBANESWAR: Even as the City was witnessing culmination of Dussehra celebration, a girl in her late teens was found with serious injuries near the washing shed of Bhubaneswar railway station on Sunday.

Aged about 19, the girl bore deep cuts on her hand, head as well as back. The Government Railway Police (GRP) suspects that she may have been assaulted with sharp weapons by multiple number of assailants.

The victim’s identity is yet to be ascertained. She was spotted by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel between 2 pm and 3 pm near platform No 4. The RPF intimated the GRP which rushed her to Capital Hospital where preliminary examination was done.

She was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Her condition is stated to be critical.While investigation is underway to track down the attackers, police suspect that the assailants may have been trying to kill the girl.
