Institute Owner Held on Molestation Charge

BHUBANESWAR: A 30-year-old man was arrested by Commissionerate Police on Monday for allegedly molesting a woman employee of his organisation.

The accused, Jyotiprakash Nayak of Bhadrak, is the owner of a private hotel management institute in the City. The complaint was registered at Mahila police station on October 1 by the 25-year-old woman from Fatehgarh of Nayagarh district. The woman, working as an office assistant, alleged that she was molested by Nayak on several occasions at work. He asked her not to disclose it to anyone, offering her huge amount of money which she refused.

Acting on the complaint, police arrested Nayak and booked him under Sections 376 and 511 of the IPC. He was produced in a local court which remanded him to judicial custody.
