House Looted

BHUBANESWAR: Miscreants on Thursday night broke into the house of a lecturer at Canal Road under Mancheswar police limits and looted jewellery worth `6 lakh.

Prakash Dash (34), and his family were away at their relative’s place at Cuttack to celebrate Diwali when the burglary took place.

On their return on Friday morning, Prakash noticed the lock of the main door broken and living room ransacked. The almirah in their bedroom too was broken and gold and silver articles worth lakhs were missing.

Prakash informed Mancheswar police who registered a case and investigation is on.
