SUNDARGARH: A 40-year-old woman, Rajkumari Kerketta, was hacked to death by her neighbour, while her daughter escaped with minor injuries at Kiralaga village under Talsara police limits on Tuesday night.
Sundargarh SDPO, PK Mohanty, said the accused Sunil Lugun had a quarrel with Rajkumari over a petty issue and in a fit of rage, he hacked her with an axe. While Rajkumari died on the spot, her infant daughter Anjali, whom she was holding during the fight, was injured. Anjali has been admitted to a local hospital and the accused arrested.
