BHUBANESWAR: Police Commissionerate on Tuesday served summons on Chitra Athwani to appear before it within 14 days for interrogation in connection with the arrest of vice-chairman of Deccan Chronicle Group PK Iyer. Iyer was staying in a room booked in Athwani’s name at Hotel Trident in city.
The summons have been sent to Athwani at her Darbhanga address in Bihar.
Iyer had first arrived in the hotel with Athwani on February 14 and they stayed together for 10 days before the latter left the hotel. Iyer again booked a room in Athwani’s name in the hotel when he came here the next month.
Athwani works as an air hostess with Jet Airways, the police said.
