Cong Student Leader Arrested

BHUBANESWAR:The Commissionerate Police on Thursday arrested Satyajit Patnaik, president of Odisha Chhatra Congress, in connection with the egg attack on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's convoy on February 19.

Satyajit, who was untraceable following the incident, was held from Laxmi Sagar area. He was brought to Kharavela Nagar Police Station and would be produced before a local court on Friday. The Chhatra Congress leader was reportedly present in the group which had hurled eggs on the CM's convoy before intercepting it while it was on its way to Utkal University.

Following the incident, police had arrested nine Congress activists on various charges including attempt to murder.
