BARGARH:The CRPF personnel seized a tiffin bomb and 10 kg of explosives from Gandhamardan Hill adjoining Marjyadapali village in Paikmal block of Sambalpur district on Sunday.

The team, which stumbled upon the Maoist camp during a routine combing operation, also found fuse wire, two tin boxes and plastic bags.

With Baisakhi Mela at the temple of Lord Nrusinghanath, located on the foothill of Gandhamardan, scheduled to begin from April 29, the incident has triggered panic among the locals.

Allaying fear, DIG (NR) Prateek Mohanty assured that all preventive measures are being taken for safety and security of the devotees who would visit the shrine.
