BHUBANESWAR: City Police on Thursday arrested a person who had duped several youths and made away with their money on the pretext of giving them jobs at Biju Patnaik Airport here.

Santosh Sethi, who previously ran a placement agency, had taken over `1 lakh from six youths and promised them jobs.

The matter came to light when one Vikash Dash of Berhampur paid `30,000 to Sethi and waited for his offer letter which did not come. When he verified, he found that he had been taken for a ride as there was no job opening at the airport. Dash came across more such people and they all contacted Sethi who asked them to come with more money and meet him near the airport.

Sethi was unaware that he was walking into a trap set by the people he had cheated. He was given a round thrashing and handed over to local police.
