MOHULPADA (SUNDARGARH):  Three members of a family killed their acquaintance following a dispute over `10 at Budhakhaman village under Mohulpada police limits in Bonai sub-division of Sundargarh district.

According to reports, the prime accused Munduri Dehuri (44) is at large, while two other accused - his wife Panjari and minor son - have been detained by the police on Saturday.

The deceased Raj Giri (45)  and his wife Baigani of Budhakhaman village met the accused trio at Rengala weekly market on Friday evening.

Since all had to return to the same village, they hired an auto-rickshaw. On reaching the village, Dehuri’s wife demanded Giri’s wife to pay `10 more and both the families picked up a quarrel over the amount. In a fit of rage, the accused trio killed Giri with a wooden plank. The body has been sent for autopsy on Saturday after registration of a murder case.

Minor Girl Raped

A seven-year-old girl was raped by one Dhoba Patra (28) at Kumundi village under Mohulpada police limits in Sundargarh district on Friday evening. The accused is the girl’s neighbour. He took the girl to an isolated area and committed the crime. Police have launched a manhunt to nab Dhoba, who is now absconding.
