Maoist Posters Found

RAYAGADA: Maoist posters were found in Phakeri, Nirgundi and Pasrshali villages of Parshali gram panchayat under  Kalyansinghpur police limits in the district on Monday morning.

The posters were found outside Panchayat Office, Dongria Kondh Development Agency Office and in parts of Phakeri and Nirgundi village. Through the posters, issued by Rayagada Area Committee of CPI (Maoists) outfit, the ultras urged people not to believe in promises of development of the region by the local Collector and SP. The Maoists also threatened villagers of dire consequences if they worked as police informers.

Rayagada SP, K Siba Subramani said combing has been intensified and security personnel are maintaining a vigil on bordering areas of the district. The PLGA Week is being observed by the outlawed outfit till December 8.
