Congress Accuses Centre of Vendetta Politics

BHUBANESWAR: More than 600 Congress workers staged an agitation at Lower PMG here on Wednesday accusing the Centre of pursuing vendetta politics.

A rally led by PCC president Prasad Harichandan marched towards the Assembly alleging the BJP Government of tarnishing the image of AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. “This is nothing but personal vendetta and also the repercussion of BJP’s steadily declining political base in the country,” Harichandan said.

He also flayed the role of Subramanian Swamy in National Herald matter saying “Swamy is a puppet in the hands of BJP, who lives in political gimmick.”

The agitators tried to overpower the police deployment and broke the barricades. Police arrested the agitators and later released them on bail.
