Gun Selling Racket Busted, Five Held in Jharsuguda

JHARSUGUDA: An illegal gun selling racket was busted and five persons were arrested by Jharsuguda Police on Friday. The five were planning to sell some guns brought from Bihar in the local market when they were nabbed.

They have been identified as Sanjay Kumar Singh of Bindgaon area in Bihar, Dillip Kumar Sahi of Jharkhand, besides Nepal Mistri, Muna Khadanga and Mrutunjay Pal of Jharsuguda.

On a tip off, police raided the spot where they were planning to sell the guns and seized four mausers, 11 live bullets, four mobile phones and Rs5,000 in cash from their possession. IIC of Jharsuguda Town police station KC Naik said search operation will be intensified to arrest the other persons involved in the racket.
