National Bal Shree Award for Preeti

BHUBANESWAR:Preeti Panigrahi, a student of Class-VIII of Amity International School, Noida was conferred the National Bal Shree award for 2012.

Preeti was chosen for the honour in the field of ‘Creative Performance’ and is the only child to receive in the age group of 9-11.

At a special award ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan recently, she received the award from Union HRD Minister Smriti Zubin Irani. The award comprises a plaque, a citation and Kisan Vikas Patra worth Rs 10,000.

Bal Shree award is given to children with special talent, unique approach to life and innovativeness. Preeti, daughter of Namita Panigrahi and Surya Narayan Panigrahi, who served as AGM with NTPC corporate office, is known for her academic and co-curricular activities.
