Rs 150 crore for BPUT Growth

BHUBANESWAR:The State Government will spend Rs 150 crore for development of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). Of the fund, Rs 110 crore will be spent on infrastructure development of the university’s headquarters at Rourkela.

A decision in this regard was taken at a high level meeting presided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the  Secretariat here on Tuesday.

A new course in urban planning will be opened. Besides, vacant posts in the university will be filled up. Minister for ET&T Sanjay Dasburma, Chief Secretary GC Pati and senior officials were present at the meeting.
