Togadia’s Visit Banned

PHULBANI: In a bid to maintain law and order, the district administration has imposed a ban on entry of VHP leader Praveen Togadia to Phulbani. Togadia is scheduled to address a Hindu Convention here on February 28.

SP KV Singh said, “Section 144 of CrPc would be imposed in the entire district for a week starting Friday.” Earlier, members of Public Welfare Association had met Kandhamal Collector N Thirumala Naik and expressed their concern over the meeting of firebrand VHP leader. Meanwhile, the district wing of VHP has called for a bandh on February 28 in protest against the decision.
