Ponzi Firm's Director Arrested from Bengal

BHUBANESWAR: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Government on Saturday arrested Pranati Das, a director of Flourish India, from East Midnapore district of West Bengal.

Pranati, wife of the ponzi firm’s former chairman-cum-managing director Prasanna Das, was untraceable since 2013. She was in a village under Mahisdal police limits of East Midnapore when the sleuths tracked her down.

So far, 14 employees of the company have been rounded up.

Flourish India had opened 132 branches across Odisha, focusing mostly in rural pockets. The EOW has attached 251 acre of land belonging to the company apart from two vehicles and `1.52 lakh in cash.
