Road Safety Week by City Cooperation

BHUBANESWAR: More than 2,000 people, drawn from different walks of life, took part in a ‘Road Run’ organised by the Commissionerate of Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack in the City on Sunday.

The run, marking the celebration of the commemoration day of the Police Commissionerate, also coincided with the beginning of Road Safety Week.

Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjeev Marik flagged off the run which carried the theme ‘Join Hands for Safety.’

“We need cooperation from people of all sections of society to ensure safety, not just on the road, but also in our daily lives. That was the mantra of the run,” Marik said.

The run which started from 7th Battalion Ground converged at Police Commissionerate Headquarters.

Local MLAs Priyadarshi Mishra, Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Police Commissioner Dr RP Sharma and film personalities took part in the run.
