BHUBANESWAR: Bhubaneswar SDJM Court on Monday granted five-day remand of the two prime accused in the murder of the Vizag Steel Plant AGM I Surya Prasad Rao to Commissionerate Police (CP).
The accused, Piddina Laxman Rao alias Guruji and Srinibas Panda, will be handed over to the police on Tuesday.
Police are looking for the object with which the AGM was assaulted that led to his death.
Besides, the crime scene will be recreated by the two.
“The motive behind the murder is crystal clear but we need to find the finer details which we will try to extract from the two,” said Police Commissioner Dr RP Sharma.
Rao was found murdered near a temple behind Sainik School on January 5.
He had been lured into a trap laid by Guruji since he was looking for a bride for his son through matrimonial advertisements.
