BHUBANESWAR: Commissionerate Police has begun an inquiry into a `5.62 crore worth property, booked by Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chief Pradeep Sethy, which has not been included in the assets attachment proposal by the then investigating officer (IO).

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) had earlier pointed it out to the Commissionerate Police and sought that the asset be included in the latter's ad interim attachment proposal. It had stated that Sethy had acquired a block in the second floor of BMC Bhawani Mall, Saheed Nagar  for `5.62 crore. Another property, worth `1.41 crore in Unit IV too was acquired by Sethy's firm.

Later, it was found that the `1.41 crore worth property had been included in attachment proposal but the `5.62 crore asset had been left out.

Sources said Sethy had booked the block on the second floor of BMC Bhawani Mall by paying an advance of `1 crore but at a later stage, neither did he develop it nor did he pay the rest amount.
