Female Foetus Found in Bag

SALEPUR: A polythene bag containing a female foetus was found in a playground near Housing Board Colony at Mundasahi under Chaudwar police limits on Saturday. Locals spotted it and informed police who rushed to the spot and seized it.

Police later sent it to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack for postmortem. A case has been registered and further investigation is on.

In August, a female infant was found abandoned near Baideswar temple under Chaudwar police limits.

Locals had rescued the baby and handed her over to police. She was later rehabilitated in Sisu Sadan at Chaudwar.
