JEYPORE: Paramilitary forces on Tuesday intensified combing operation in Maoist affected Narayanpatna, Bandhugam and Laxmipur after five tiffin bombs, three bundles of live wire, Maoist uniforms, literature and medicines were found by BSF jawans in Kunjeru forest under Bandhugam police limits on Monday evening. The explosives were hidden in a bush.

Sources said several top Maoist cadres of Odisha-Andhra Special Zonal Committee are camping in Narayanpatna after sneaking into Odisha following series of encounters in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. This has led to an increase in Maoist activities in the area.
