BHUBANESWAR: Twitter hashtags #NabakalebaraRathaJatra and #RathJatra which were initiated by @NabakalebaraOff, the official twitter handle of Nabakalebara, made it to the top 10 trends on the micro-blogging site for over two hours on Saturday.
The trends witnessed large number of followers with simultaneous tweets coming in from cities like Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Till the last reports came in, there were around 11,000 tweets linked to these two hashtags and nearly two crore twitteratis. The figure is likely to swell as the festival progresses, sources said.
Similar trend was reflected on Facebook and Youtube on which the Odisha Computer Applicaiton Centre (OCAC) was streaming the event live.
