CUTTACK:Facing heat from the Enforcement Directorate in connection with illegal mining, Triveni Earthmovers Pvt Ltd and Indrani Patnaik Mines have moved the Orissa High Court challenging the notices issued to them for appearing in the investigation. The ED, which had conducted raids on the companies on July 9, has slapped charges under Prevention of Money Laundering Act against them. The petitioners have challenged the notice stating the Act was not applicable in their case and appealed to the court to stay further proceedings by ED. A division bench of the court comprising Chief Justice D H Baghela and Justice B N Ratha has posted the case to July 27 for further hearing.
