BHUBANESWAR: A 14-year-old girl, who was kidnapped from Ganga Nagar earlier this week, was rescued by a security guard near Rasulgarh on Sunday.
The minor girl, whose parents are visually impaired, was abducted on Wednesday and kept captive in an apartment near Ekamra Talkies under Badagada police limits, police said.
The abductors tortured her for three days and were planning to sell her off to a pimp based in Uttar Pradesh. On Saturday evening, a private security guard spotted the girl while she was attempting to escape.
She narrated her ordeal to the guard who dropped her home. The girl along with her relatives reported the matter to Airfield police which registered an abduction case in this connection.
