BHUBANESWAR: The State Government on Thursday decided to take stringent action against persons who availed plots, houses and flats from two development authorities and Odisha State Housing Board by producing fake affidavits and misleading documents.
The General Administration department had decided that action will be taken against those who have availed multiple plots/houses/flats by furnishing false affidavit and other misleading information and allotment made in fraudulent manner.
The General Administration department has finalised modalities for implementation of the recommendations of the task force on land/house/flats allotment by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA), Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB) and General Administration (GA) department.
BDA, CDA and OSHB will take steps for cancellation of irregular allotments of plots/houses/flats and before such cancellation, show cause notice will be issued to each allottee, a statement issued by the GA department said.
“The decision on cancellation or resumption or otherwise will be taken after giving due opportunity of hearing to the allottees,” it said.
The Vigilance department will simultaneously initiate appropriate action with regard to multiple allotments of plots/houses/flats.
