JEYPORE:Two minor boys of Dangaguda village were sent to the Juvenile Observation Home at Berhampur on Saturday after they were found guilty in the murder of a gunny bag vendor, L Ravana. The incident had taken place along the NH passing through Jeypore 11 days back.
Police said the two boys along with a youth who was working for Ravana had committed the murder with an intention of stealing money. The third accused is absconding.
In another incident, police raided a fake foreign liquor manufacturing unit that was operating from a Government quarter at Irrigation colony here on Saturday. Three persons were arrested and weapons, empty IMFL bottles of foreign brand besides, machineries seized from the unit. Those arrested are Debasis Mohanty, the owner of a ‘dhaba’ in Jeypore who was operating the liquor unit, and his two associates Suvasis Mohanty and Saraj Paikori.
