State Report on Climate Change

Naveen Patnaik releases a report on his Government’s action plan on climate change to be implemented in next five years.

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday released a report on the Odisha Government’s action plan on climate change to be implemented in next five years.

Stating that the action plan prepared by the State would help reduce the impact on climate change, Patnaik said it would also protect the living and livelihood of the communities.

Patnaik said Odisha was the first State to already implement a climate change action plan. The action plan has been formulated for Departments of Agriculture, Water Resources, Energy, Disaster Management, Forest and others to ensure that the impact of climate change does not affect life and properties of people in the State.
