BALASORE: At least four persons were killed in two separate accidents on National Highway-5 near Soro in Balasore district on Monday.
Police said, three persons travelling in a pickup van died on the spot after it collided head-on with a dumper near Chhapulia under Soro police limits. In another incident, an motorcycle rider was killed after a truck hit him from behind near the overbridge.
"The pick-up van dashed against a dumper going towards Balasore after its driver lost control over the vehicle, which later jumped the road divider near Chhapulia," a police official said.
