BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday secured a warrant to search the premises occupied by Sushant Dhal Samanta at Visakhapatnam. It is hopeful of laying its hands on valuable documents and information.

Although a team is already stationed and has been carrying out raids, it found that the address of the house provided by the gangster brothers was wrong. After locating address of the property, which originally was occupied by Sushant, the elder of the two brothers, it wanted to search the premises but was asked to get the search warrant.

The police secured a search warrant from SDJM, Cuttack and is set to crack down on Friday. “A number of important information about his trade, associates, income and identities could be known if the search goes swiftly,” an officer said.

The house is under lock and key and police watch. Sushant, who ran a coal import business from the port city, was operating under the guise of Manoj Patnaik.
