CHSE to Set up 49 E-evaluation Zones

BHUBANESWAR: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Friday decided to set up 49 e-evaluation zones across the State, which will be used for digital correction of Plus Two answer sheets.

Chairman of CHSE Basudev Chatoi said the Council is currently preparing a roadmap based on the presence of examination management hubs (EMHs) for safe dispatch of question papers to examination centres. He further said all the colleges that have been earmarked as evaluation zones will be made air-conditioned for the comfort of evaluators.

Evaluators will have to sit for at least six hours at a stretch to correct the papers. Each evaluator will correct 15 answer scripts to reduce the burden.

Last year, 50 evaluation zones were set up initially but the number was brought down to 33 as some of the institutions were found lacking basic amenities.

This year, 203 EMHs have been selected by district-level examination committee under the chairmanship of Collectors and SPs. Students will take the tests in 1098 examination centres.
