SAMBALPUR: Sambalpur Lok Mahotsav, being held after a year’s break, has been attracting artistes and art lovers from all over the State. The Mahotsav could not be organised last year due to outbreak of jaundice.

As many as 80 cultural troupes are participating in the six-day event that began on February 4, said Cultural Coordinator of the Lok Mahotsav Alok Panda. Local cultural troupes are showcasing the rich folk culture of the region.

Artistes from Assam, Haryana, Punjab and West Bengal are also participating. About 200 stalls are put up to exhibit and sale handicrafts, handloom products and local delicacies.
